The Grand Canyon, as the path of the Colorado River, has spectacular views from both the North Rim and the South Rim.
The north rim is much more intimate than the south rim with fewer structures and dramatically less traffic.
The disadvantage of the North rim is that it is at a higher elevation... both for breathing and for a shorter season.
